Thank You, Durango... Well... HAPPY NEW YEAR for one.. For two, thanks to everyone who came out. That must have been the record attendance for any Aftergrass show, and we're hoping that it is just the beginning. we've stuck it out for years and now thanks to each one of you it is paying off. So first off.. the thanks... Thank you to the Durango VFW, who did a great job. I'm not sure they were expecting the crowd we had, but then again, neither were we! Thanks to DJ Mowgli who mc'd the night. We meant to get him up there rappin, not sure what happened there... Thanks to our new manager, Chris, who put this all together. If Chris throws a party.. it's going to be off the hoook, know that. BOOTH, great sax work! Thanks to Ryan, our sound man who once again out did himself with a great mix for everyone (including us on stage) Thanks to Kelly from Lightning Communications who did a fantastic job with the insane light show! And most importantly, thanks to our friends and families who made this all possible. One last thanks.. thats to YOU. If you're reading this, you're helping us out. If you were at the show tonight, you helped us out.
We love you all!

The eve of a New Year... It's the eve of yet another new year... I keep thinking of the past shows we've had on this day throughout the last few years. For the first time since 2004 we will not be in Silverton for the celebration, this time we're rockin right here at home in Durango. New Years has always been our best show of the year, and this year's gonna be no different. I can't believe the effort from Chris (our new manager) and all of our great friends to make this happen. The boys from Artikle, and Ryan, our intrepid sound man have all put a lot into this show. It's going to be a kick. We're making a live recording tonight, so hopefully we have something great to rock for ya. On the 2nd, we start a little tour around the rockies, having fun, droppin cliffs and jammin tunes. Super good times.
here's to a great new year of rockin! cheers! written by: eric posted on: December 31, 2008
News... Just dropping a line to say Hello to everyone and let you know we're on a hiatus for the month while Jesse goes to work the ski races. It's a great time, taking a little break, I'm pursuing my douchebag with a guitar act, we're writing and generally having fun. We'll see you all in a month! written by: eric posted on: December 01, 2008
Video This is a video from the Jenna Davies benefit at the Summit on November 15th. If you missed it, Jenna Davis is a preschool teacher in Durango who was recently injured in a severe car accident. You can still make donations at JennaDavies.org The video gets a lot more exciting after like.. 3 mins or so when someone picks up the stationary video camera and films uz.

what shakes? we shake I'm sorry I haven't been the consummate blogger lately... Since I've last written my favorite team won the world series (the poor guys in the band had to put up with me being phanatical all the way through october...) and in lesser importance... we have a new president, too! We played a fun show on Halloween to a packed house over at the Summit, it was a really good time and you can see a video from that night... VERY special thanks to Tyler Quintano at Action House Media for shooting what is one of the coolest vids I've ever seen. Coming up tomorrow (Saturday) we'll be playing a benefit at the Summit for Jenna Davies, a preschool teacher recently injured in a severe car accident. C'mon and show the love at 8pm.
cheers!

Voodoo Organist This Weekend! We're opening for the one, the only, the voodoo organist this weekend at the Summit. It's a sunday night show, because that's just when he's coming through. If you've never seen this guy, he's amazing, plays the organ, the bass with his left foot, the teremin, sings and is backed by the baddest ass junk-kit drummer this cat's ever seen.... We'll probably try to get started a lil early since it is sunday afterall....

Aftergrass at the Hank Last night we got to open for one of our musical heroes, Sand Sheff... Actually, come to think of it, it was a whole band of musical heroes including Thomas Sneed on mandolin, Jimmy Craighead on fiddle, David Sachs on drums, and introducing the beautiful Sunnie Holland on bass. We got an excellent recording of the show, which should be available on the music player at your right by the time you read this.
We had a fantastic night, and would like to thank Sand for having us, and the town of Durango for coming out with bells on. The Henry Strater Theatre is simply a beautiful venue, and we're lucky to have it in town.
Cheers for beers!written by: eric edited on: September 13, 2008
Back from the road Our little road trip was a complete blast. Getting to open for Larry Keel & Natural Bridge was a real kick in the ass, and we're so happy about it, thanks Larry! We're starting to book our ski tour, if you know a good ski town where we should be going, please let me know!
In other band news, well we'd like to congratulate Josh on his recent wedding. He married a great gal who is absolutely nuts. She makes every practice more fun, roadtrips more fun, and arrest potential much higher. We adore her.
In much sadder news, Kelly & Tia's dog Marley was killed by a car a few weeks ago, our sympathies go out and boy we really miss the lil' gay buddy. Nothing derogatory intended he was just really really really gay. We miss you Marley.
Things just keep lookin up and up and up. We'll have more pictures on the site soon. Also we're trying to hunt down video, we see people shoooting vids and pics at shows a lot of we'd love to get our hands on some, please drop us a line or send us a youtube link.
Cheers written by: eric posted on: August 25, 2008
Fun times, new friends Well we just had a hell of a great time opening for Larry Keel. Larry & his band are a buncha nice guys (and a gal) who are about to start their set, so this tired and internet addicted drummer is heading back up front. We had a great set!
See you soon

1st night... excellent! We just finished our show at Dillon Dam Brewery, it was a great time. It kinda took us back playing through a somewhat antiquated sound system, but luckily I think we can communicate semi-unconsciously these days. Rachel and Josh came out kickin and their vocal prowess added an extra dimension we'd previously only dreamed about. A time of great hopes and expanding horizons seems to be upon us, please give us a push and help us open the next door. written by: eric posted on: August 22, 2008
